DBT Biotech Kisan Hub at CPGSAS, CAU (IMPHAL), Umiam, Meghalaya, was established on 16th March, 2022, under the leadership of Dr, Pranab Dutta, Hub Facilitator cum Project Coordinator, School of Crop Protection (Plant Pathology) for enhancing the farmers’ income of Meghalaya and Sikkim through technologies/scientific packages practices for turmeric, maize, tomato and potato. The KISAN hub composed of main hub at CPGSAS-CAU (Imphal)-Biotech Kisan Hub and two partnering institutes at Tea Research Association (TRA), Nagrakata, West Bengal and ICAR National Bureau of Agricultural Insect Resources (NBAIR), Bengaluru. Dr. B K Sharma Director AAU-DBT Centre act as a knowledge partner in the Hub.
